We support projects in nutrition, education, income generation and sustainability
Since 2005, we have granted over US$2 million in support of projects in nutrition, education, income generation and sustainability around Africa, Asia, and the Americas.
We’re proud to be a registered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit in the United States of America. We maintain Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council, and we’ve won three (yes, three!) consecutive Top-Rated Non-Profit Awards through Great Non-Profits in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
Mission and Objectives
The GVN Foundation is a non-profit organization inspiring learning, innovation and action to unlock the potential of vulnerable communities around the world. Founded Colin Salisbury and Courtney Montague in 2005, the GVN Foundation began with the goal of providing a platform for GVN change makers to continue their support for their project overseas.
We believe that empowering communities is the key to changing the world. We do this by providing financial resources to grassroots organizations working with vulnerable women and children in Africa, Asia and Latin America. We use our collective experience in development, fundraising, advocacy, film making and mentorship to equip individuals and communities around the world to advocate and fundraise for the projects we wholeheartedly believe in.
Our core objectives:
to provide a source of funding for GVN projects that work with vulnerable women and children;
to provide fun, inspiring and educational opportunities for GVN volunteers to stay connected to their volunteer projects through advocacy and fundraising;
to introduce new people to the work of GVN through our fundraising campaigns.
Ready to take action to end poverty?
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead.
GVN Foundation believes that everyone has the right, and the responsibility, to play a part in creating a better, stronger future and ending poverty. We aim to provide exciting and varied ways to get involved in the work our partners are doing, no matter where you are or what your skillset.
