Millennium Children's Program

GVN Foundation supports the charitable and educational work of community based organizations around the world by providing them with funding to meet the basic needs of children - education, nutrition, medical care and housing.

After these needs have been met, GVN Foundation works on developing long term assistance for these children - providing them with the skills they need to grow into successful adults. The ultimate goal of the GVN Foundation is to end the cycle of child poverty by creating systemic change in the communities we work in through this two step process.

The Millennium Children's Program describes the 'Big Picture' of GVN Foundation and encompasses all of our work:

  1. By addressing the basic and long term needs of children we will end the cycle of poverty by wrapping this generation's 'Millennium' children with the skills they need to become valuable additions to their countrys' successful, tolerant and educated work force.

The Program describes how GVN Foundation works with each community we currently support. GVN Foundation researches and identifies impoverished schools and orphanages around the world and raises funds for these groups through our various fundraisers:

We then work with local community organizations and NGO's to provide the children in these schools and orphanages with the basic needs the children require to improve their standard of living. These basic needs include food, medical care, educational needs and better housing.

We are currently researching and developing programs to address the long term needs of these children. Programs will include:

  1. Leadership Training
  2. Class/Race/Ethnic Tolerance Courses
  3. Higher Education
  4. Vocational Training
  5. Micro-Finance Options

We intend to achieve this by bringing together complementary community based organizations.

With this as our primary focus we will also work on developing funding partnerships with environmental and women's based organizations around the world. We understand that the environment and the rights of women are also critically important components in the campaign to end extreme poverty.
